Aging Collective owners, Jennie Griggs and Lynne Peer, work with a group of consultants in architecture, graphic design, geriatric care and design for aging in place to provide other resources for your needs. We continue to add professional consultants to our collective.

Jennie Griggs, BS, MA

Aging Studies: Founder and Principal

Jennie is an Aging Specialist with Aging Care Matters, a course developer, motivational speaker and an instructor for several senior fitness programs. Successful in the corporate world, Jennie served in national positions to include VP of Healthcare and Education for Bentley Prince Street and National Business Development Manager – Institutional Segments Mannington Commercial. Additionally representing other companies in sales, business development and training, Jennie’s life course and personal mission refocused following her health battles and those of her husband, who lost his fight with a lengthy illness. Jennie teaches courses at Wichita State, Wake Tech holds her NC and SC Life, Accident and Health License to assist seniors with Medicare and Medicaid questions.

Lynne Peer

M.Ed. in Secondary Education: Principal

​

Lynne is an instructional designer, corporate trainer and technical writer. She has developed over 75 courses for corporate clients, writes continuing education courses for architects and designers and develops facilitator guides and participant manuals along with train the trainer guidance to help companies deliver their own training sessions. She began her career as an educator and then moved into the corporate world, where she worked as a public relations director of the Carpet and Rug Institute, director of marketing for a manufacturing company, and has led an independent consulting firm since 1996, specializing in marketing and training materials, presentations and instructional design.

Carla Payne, MA, CMC,

Geriatric Care Manager ALCA and Owner

​

Carla, owner of Aging Care Matters, LLC earned her B.S in Human Services and a Master’s in Counseling from University of North Carolina, Charlotte. In 2004 she became an Ombudsman advocating for skilled care facility residents. Additionally, Carla earned certificates in Gerontology and a National Certification in Care Management. Her ten-year successful career provided direction, intervention and solutions to families in need.  Aging Care Matters, LLC services include Home Safety, Cognitive and Resource Eligibility Assessments; Care Oversight; Planning and Problem-solving; Education and Advocacy; Family Caregiver Coaching/Counseling; and Crisis Intervention.

Jeanne Sperry

Jeanne Sperry is President of CherokeeRed, a graphic design company specializing in graphic design, brand identity development, website design, illustration and all types of marketing and advertising. An award-winning designer with national reputation for effective design, advertising, merchandising, graphics, and illustration as well as product packaging, publication and web designs, Jeanne holds a Master of Arts from Syracuse University in Advertising and Design and formerly served as an Assistant professor of Art at Kennesaw State University in Georgia.

Jane Rohde, Principal

Jane Rohde champions a widespread global cultural shift toward  de-institutionalized senior living facilities through her consulting, research and advocacy, which provides services to non-profit and  for-profit developers, government agencies, and senior living and care providers. She also provides training and education to providers, regulators, and peers on senior living trends, design and programming that support and improve the lives of our elders.

 

With 30 years of experience in the senior living industry, Jane has a strong background in connecting existing trends to development of innovative projects – and consults throughout the United States and China. She presents globally on evidence-based design, senior living, healthcare, research, and sustainability.

Tammy Robbins

Tammy has worked in the senior field over eight years guiding families through the complexities of choosing senior care options for their loves ones. She has a genuine passion for helping others. Tammy serves in many volunteer roles: As a founding member and the current President of the Senior Information & Networking Group; Ambassador with the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce, and Women in Networking. Tammy has endless energy, enthusiasm and compassion for our aging population and their caregivers.

Valerie is a consultant to builders, architects, and developers for The Ageless Home ™, a national speaker on Aging in Place/Universal Design, an author, entrepreneur, and REALTOR.

Troy Stratton,

Founder of Holistic Healing Therapy

​

Troy is one of the few survivors of Lou Gehrig Disease. Upon discovery of his condition, he changed his mind set and began to educate himself on how to survive. Today with several degrees and certifications, Troy is a professional therapist and health coach. His holistic approach uses mind/body alignment which is instrumental in getting your body to move pain-free with full ranges of motion, facilitating healing and assisting with self-repair. His work with the aging population has proven results.
